The Brighton Artists Open Houses is coming to a close for 2012, this weekend coming is the final weekend. Sat 26^th – Sunday 27^th May

So if you’re on an art hunt, in the area or if you are looking for something to do, why not come and see my paintings ‘in the flesh’! As well as new works and recent commissions, I am also showing my Smartdeco Collection; affordable art meets bespoke products such as deckchairs, cushions and lampshades.  These will be available to purchase along with prints of paintings at special festival prices.

I am exhibiting at the following venues but you would like to talk about my work I’ll be at the Anvil Ironworks venue.

Open House at Anvil Ironworks

Anvil Ironworks creates decorative and functional sculpture, lighting, furniture and site-specific and architectural pieces. Enjoy refreshments in the garden among the sculpture and decadent deckchairs. Bringing the outside in, Jacqueline’s paintings will take

you to a number of beautiful landscapes, from the wildlife in the garden to the wilderness of Dartmoor and highly populated beach scenes. All overseen by an irreverent portrait of the Queen. Be sure to order your commemorative mug!

Anvil Ironworks is part of the Five Ways Open House Artists Trail.  The venue is open from 11.00 until 17.00 for the following weekends – 5-6^th, 12-13^th, 19-20^th and 26-27^th or by private appointment. (f18 on the Fiveways Open Houses trail).

Open House at the JAG Gallery & Open Studios

Jacqueline is exhibiting recent seascapes, the Acid Pavilion series and the latest decadent homewares products from her Smartdeco Collection. On display is her most recent commission, a very detailed street scene in 1940’s / 50’s Singapore for the fashion accessory designer Ethan K.

The JAG Gallery hosts avibrant community of professional artists who both exhibit and work in the gallery. The talented artists in residence work in a variety of disciplines, such as fine art, painting, illustration, product and interior design, poetry and writing. They are available for commissions.

The JAG Gallery is part of the Kemptown Open House Artists Trail.  The venue is open from 09.30 until 18.00 for the following weekends – 5-6^th, 12-13^th, 19-20^th and 26-27^th. (k3 on the Kemptown Open Houses trail). For more details please visit – aoh.org.uk/home

Directions: 200 yards along from Brighton Pier and Brighton Wheel in the direction of the marina, on the left under the arches.

Take the Kemptown Trail with so many artist houses, studios and galleries showing the best original art, printmaking and crafts. Explore Kemp Town Village to the Marina, with JAG Gallery right near the wheel and return by the historic Volks Railway, all within sight of the sea.
