Artists Open Houses Festival 2012 ends this weekend, 26 – 27th May – Photos and information.

The Brighton Artists Open Houses is coming to a close for 2012, this weekend coming is the final weekend. Sat 26th – Sunday 27th May

So if you’re on an art hunt, in the area or if you are looking for something to do, why not come and see my paintings ‘in the flesh’! As well as new works and recent commissions, I am also showing my Smartdeco Collection; affordable art meets bespoke products such as deckchairs, cushions and lampshades.  These will be available to purchase along with prints of paintings at special festival prices.

For those seeking a stylish seating experience this summer and beyond, Brighton-based artist, Jacqueline Hammond has the answer to ‘sitting pretty’ without the need to visit a scenic location in person. Thanks to Jacqueline’s series of Smartdeco Deckchairs that reproduce her popular scenic artworks on to the canvas sling, people can enjoy the seaside, pastoral Spanish setting or country lane from the comfort of their own back garden or patio.

About artbyjaxx

Contemporary British artist, Jacqueline Hammond, is renowned for producing strong, punchy images that are rich in texture and colour. A prolific painter and multidisciplinary artist, she exhibits widely and is commissioned by individual clients, collectors and high profile brands. Jacqueline’s inspiration comes from direct observation: subject matter is plucked from the world encountered every day. Some ideas evolve, others are reactionary. Thought-provoking themes explore today’s society, the media and cultural theory. Whether inspired by the street or the sea, Jacqueline’s work has an edge: her paintings are consistently striking. Her natural disposition is to let the paint dictate the creative process, trusting the medium and her mind’s eye to translate the vision.
