Photo research out in the fields today. I thinking adding some other foliage and flowers would make a more interesting composition.

Took plenty of photos already but had to go and look at the way the petals form again today, before I start painting again.

After some research quite literally ‘in the field,’ I’ve begun some sketch paintings for a sunflower series, to complement the poppy series and potentially to be used as a series for a greetings card publisher.
