Hammond House Party – Raising the curtains with art

The Round Georges Public House, 14-15 Sutherland Rd, Brighton Tel. 01273 691833

In the gallery at The Round Georges is an exhibition of original paintings, limited edition prints, and my Smartdeco Collection: Art led home wares such as poppy print cushions, seaside lampshades and jellyfish bathmats.

The exhibition opened on 3rd November with a House Warming.  The exhibition comes to an end next Saturday 8th December when we’ll be moving out in style with a swinging sixties themed Hammond House Party.

Now I’ve finally started using email wizardry to stay in touch with folk, I’d like to invite you all to my party!  If you live locally, you are welcome to show your face, pop in for a quick drink or join us for a bit of a party. Yes, It is an art exhibition being used as an excuse for a party! so if you’d just like to see the art before the party warms up, I’ll be there from 7pm and would love to show you my work. If you’d love to come, but are miles away from Brighton, you can join us in spirit.

Come join the party in a room full of furnishings to Brighton up your home and fab gift ideas for the forthcoming festive season.

Round up! Round up! Get out the house and get in a round of drinks at The Round George's Public House, get down to some house music, boogie to bungalow and maybe even warm up to the festive season ahead.

About artbyjaxx

Contemporary British artist, Jacqueline Hammond, is renowned for producing strong, punchy images that are rich in texture and colour. A prolific painter and multidisciplinary artist, she exhibits widely and is commissioned by individual clients, collectors and high profile brands. Jacqueline’s inspiration comes from direct observation: subject matter is plucked from the world encountered every day. Some ideas evolve, others are reactionary. Thought-provoking themes explore today’s society, the media and cultural theory. Whether inspired by the street or the sea, Jacqueline’s work has an edge: her paintings are consistently striking. Her natural disposition is to let the paint dictate the creative process, trusting the medium and her mind’s eye to translate the vision.
