Art critics or curators – who would like to write about my work?

Calling all those art critics, curators and bloggers in the blogsphere who write about art.  Can you help? Would you like to write about me?

I am trying to write a new artists statement / biography and finding it difficult. It’s that age old problem of trying to write objectively about your own work. I can write about the creation process and the work itself but to write a punchy and succinct summary about what I do is rather tricky.

If you write about art and would like to give it a go, I am offering a mounted print of your choice if I use your words.

I need 80 to 100 words to be published on my page (pictured below) in the new brochure for JAG Gallery In Brighton where I exhibit and paint.

Take a look at my websites to get a feel for the work I do:

www.jacqueline-hammond.com – Portfolio and online gallery.

www.artprintdeckchairs.co.uk – Original art, framed in a deckchair.

www.smartdeco-style.com – Affordable art meets bespoke practical products.

www.smartylamps.co.uk – Smart, retro inspired lighting.

80-100 words about Jacqueline Hammond needed for this page in a brochure. Free print for winning words.

About artbyjaxx

Contemporary British artist, Jacqueline Hammond, is renowned for producing strong, punchy images that are rich in texture and colour. A prolific painter and multidisciplinary artist, she exhibits widely and is commissioned by individual clients, collectors and high profile brands. Jacqueline’s inspiration comes from direct observation: subject matter is plucked from the world encountered every day. Some ideas evolve, others are reactionary. Thought-provoking themes explore today’s society, the media and cultural theory. Whether inspired by the street or the sea, Jacqueline’s work has an edge: her paintings are consistently striking. Her natural disposition is to let the paint dictate the creative process, trusting the medium and her mind’s eye to translate the vision.
