Title: The Lads (SOLD)

This painting depicts a group of teenage lads sat on a sea groyne enjoying a sunny day at the seaside.  I wanted to capture the non-verbal communication and posturing between these lads as a group. The way they are sitting says a lot about them even though the view is of the back of them. The realistic representation of lads works in contrast to the more abstract representation of the wall.
